‘It always hurts’... Kai Havertz says he hates playing against player Chelsea let go in 2022
Standing at 6 ft 4 and built like an athlete, the German is no pushover.
However, even for the biggest and strongest players, there are those footballers who you just don’t like to play against.
Indeed, there’s always someone bigger, stronger and more aggressive, and speaking on Pro Direct Soccer’s TikTok page, Havertz has named one player he simply hates to play against.
The midfielder says that Antonio Rudiger is a player he really doesn’t like coming up against, naming him as the most aggressive player he’s ever faced, while he stated that he always feels like he’s getting hurt when he comes up against Rudiger.

Kai Havertz hates playing against Antonio Rudiger
The Arsenal ace spoke about his former Chelsea teammate.
“Most aggressive?” Havertz was asked.
“Toni, Toni Rudiger. I hate to play against him because every time you touch him you feel like it always hurts, so I’m going to go with him,” Havertz said.
Takes no prisoners
It’s not surprising to hear Havertz speaking about Rudiger in this way.

The German takes no prisoners on the pitch, and whether you’re his friend or his enemy, he’s going to get stuck into you.
After playing together for Chelsea and Germany, you’d think Rudiger would take it a bit easy on Havertz, but, by the sounds of it, he’s just as rough with Havertz as he is with anybody else.
The Real Madrid star isn’t scared to leave a foot in or even an elbow at times, and as a striker, it must be an absolute nightmare to play against the German.
Rudiger thrived in the Premier League because of this rough-and-ready style, and, ultimately, that earned him a move to Real Madrid in 2022 after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer.
