Two Chelsea midfielders that should invite to Super Eagles

Poor midfield creativity was one of the foremost reasons the Super Eagles of Nigeria scored sparingly in the just-concluded AFCON tournament. However, the issue can be solved by Eguavoen ahead of the World Cup qualifying games by inviting two creative midfielders of Nigerian descent who play for EPL side Chelsea and are eligible to represent the Super Eagles.

1. Carney Chukwuemeka

Chukwuemeka will be a perfect replacement or partner for Iwobi in the midfield, judging by his contribution at Chelsea. He can move the ball forward even in tight areas and also make numerous pullouts. His dribbling and ball retention skills will be a plus for the national team if he is given a call-up.

Both players have not made senior appearances for their countries of residence and are eligible to represent Nigeria, according to Sports Brief, and should be convinced

2. Lesley Ugochukwu

Ugochukwu's ability to intercept and distribute timelessly will add more steel to the Super Eagles midfield. He can be used in both number 4 and number 10 roles and has no issues playing as a wing-back as well
