Please don't sell him again, as Chelsea confirm departure of £38m star

Fabrizio Romano has stated that Chelsea are not fussy about which club signs one of their players this summer.

In what is likely to be another busy transfer window this summer, the Blues are well aware they have to sell before they can spend.

It has been reported that a number of key first team players are on the list of those who could be on the move, with Conor Gallagher reports still not going away.

The England international has played basically every game this season, and has been crucial for Mauricio Pochettino as the captain most weeks.

However, it has been exclusively revealed to The Chelsea Chronicle that he is powerless in his situation at Stamford Bridge right now.

Chelsea want £38m for Lukaku

Another player who has been linked with a move away is Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Roma.

The Belgian has somewhat rediscovered his shooting boots back in Italy, starring particularly in the Europa League.

However, Romano took to Twitter to express that Chelsea are looking everywhere for a place to sell him to, including his current loan side.

He said: “Chelsea are open to selling Romelu Lukaku in the summer for the value of exit clause negotiated last summer — £38m.

“Clause part of private agreement with Lukaku’s agents and open to any club, not only AS Roma.”

Chelsea looking at new striker

Pochettino hinted a few weeks ago that he thought the club could consider taking another look at the experienced striker when his loan ended this summer.

That moment seems to have come and gone though, and it has already been reported that Chelsea have begun their search for a new striker.

It was reported last week that they had opened talks at last over a potential deal for Victor Osimhen, even offering Lukaku in exchange.

Some Chelsea fans now will have been watching the last few weeks and wondering if the signing is a priority though, with Nicolas Jackson proving his worth in his first season in England.
