In the LaLiga week 15 Barcelona will appears in new Senyera kit against Atletico at the Wanda Metropolitano, the new Senyera kit comes with the tagline Ho Portem dins – meaning: ‘It’s deep within us’.

FC Barcelona are debuting against Atlético Madrid on a new kit for this season that features the Catalan flag, the senyera, in honour of the club’s roots and history: over 120 years the club has  grown as an entity that is open to the world, and which views sport as a phenomenon that can build bridges between people. However, this has not meant losing its sense of Catalan identity, culture and values.

The new design features a modern look in which the four red stripes appear diagonally across a yellow background. Another highlight is the retro style V-neck, while the shorts are in the same yellow hue as the shirt to create a sense of continuity from top to bottom. The socks are also yellow, with four red hoops and the Nike logo and the word Barça in blue.

The ‘senyera’ since 2005

From 2005/06 when the colours of the Catalan flag were included on the neck of the Barça shirt, the ‘senyera’ has been ever present in the design of the jersey.

In the season 2013/14 the presence of the flag took a step further when for the first time in the Club’s history, the first team wore a shirt with the colours of the ‘senyera‘. The following season the shirt was maintained with a tweak in the design and in 2017/18 and 2018/19 the kit worn during warm up before matches bore the design. This season, for the third time in their history, the squad will once again wear the Catalan colours during a game.

Good news for Barca fans as the players will appears on a new a Senyera kit in the LaLiga matchday 15 against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday, December 1.
