Former Liverpool FC striker Michael Robinson is dead, dies at the age of 61.
Club heads, sportsmen, football players, and fans today mourn the death of former England club player, Michael Robinson, who reportedly died after suffering for a skin cancer he was diagnosed for about two years ago.
The death of the renowned pundit was announced on the microblogging site, Twitter, by his relative who noted that he will be dearly missed.
The tweet reads: “With tremendous sadness, we inform you of Michael’s death.
”It leaves us with a great emptiness, but also countless memories, full of the same love that you have shown him.
“We will be eternally grateful to you for making this man so happy. He never walked alone. Thank you.”
Reacting to Robinson’s death among others is Real Madrid player, Sergio Ramos, who described meeting the legend as being lucky.
Ramos tweeted; “Michael Robinson met Paqui’s son, and I was lucky to meet Michael Robinson.
” My love to your family and friends. D.E.P. You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
On his part also, former Arsenal coach, Unai Emery while expressing his condolence to the demise tweeted; “D.E.P Michael, my condolences to all your family and friends.”
”We will miss you very much but your legacy and your stamp, marked by your smile and your accent, will continue walking, accompanied by the world of football and sports. A big hug wherever you are.”
Liverpool FC tweeted; “We’re deeply saddened by the passing of former player Michael Robinson, aged 61. The thoughts of everybody at Liverpool Football Club are with Michael’s family and friends at this sad time. Rest in peace, Michael.”
Meanwhile, The Score Nigeria had reported earlier that English authorities have decided to resume the Premier League.
According to the Times, the British government wants the season to resume in order to relieve a nation stressed by the coronavirus. Thus, the Premier League will be a source of distraction for the people in these very difficult times.
