Former Nigerian international Chinedu Obasi has revealed how he got injured in 2010 World Cup playing for Nigeria and no one called him, that he spent so much money to himself fit.
Obasi also narrated how he spent so much money get himself fit when he got injured in World Cup 2010 in South Africa, that no one called him and when 2014 approaching they asked him to pay some money to be among the Super Eagles team. But he refused to pay because he believed in his form at Schalke 04 then.
“I got injured in 2010 World Cup playing for Nigeria & no one called me. I spent so much money to get myself fit.
The next competition comes up, I was asked to pay some money if I want to be in the team (2014 World Cup) I said I don’t feel comfortable. They said why are you acting like you’re not a Nigerian”, he said.
Nigerians has reacted to Obasi claim that led him out of the 2014 World Cup squad for Nigeria.
