Nigeria starlet, Emeka Chinonso will be a world class striker

Nigeria starlet Emeka Chinonso who has scored 26 goals in just 17 appearances with 15 assists for Water Football Club of Abuja Nigeria.

The 18-year-old striker Chinonso has been scoring goals for fun and he is Nigeria hottest striker of the moment. He was part of the team that played in the FIFA under 20 world cup in Poland 2019 and all Africa games in Morocco.

The Score Nigeria recalls that at the All Africa games, he scored a crucial goal against host Morocco that helped Nigeria book a place in the semi final of the football tournament.

It was understood that many European teams have been scouting him and with his form, there is probability of him joining a club in Europe very soon. Bayern Munich from Germany and many teams from Belgium and France are the front runners. Chinonso played almost all his team’s games this season before the emergence of Covid-19 pandemic that forced all football matches in Nigeria to be put on hold.

Chinonso 18, was born in 2001, he has played 17 games, scoring 26 goals with 15 assists for Water Football club in Abuja this season. Water FC are popular for producing good players in Nigeria because they have produced a lot of good players plying their trades in Europe.

The young striker scored his last goal against Niger state team, the Niger tornadoes in their 2-1 defeat in Abuja before the Covid-19 pandemic. With his performance this season, he has been linked to Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland because they possess the same attribute. The two players represented Nigeria and Norway in 2019 U20 world cup but Injury did not allow people to see the best in the young Nigeria striker.

Haaland has been on the news since the beginning of the season because of the way he has been scoring goals and he has also start from where he stopped before the German Bundesliga matches was suspended indefinitely in March by scoring a goal last weekend for Borussia Dortmund.

The Nigerian starlet praised Erling Haaland and he said he wishes him well and he wants him to continue in order to be the Ballon D’or contender in the nearest future.

Emeka also said he planned to perform excellently for Nigeria at the U20 world cup before the injury limited his progress. He has now promised to continue working hard in order to become Nigeria best player and very soon he will be in the best club in Europe as he’s being targeted by Bayern Munich and other European clubs in the summer.
