The future of Super Eagles of Nigeria is bright as the Qatar 2022 World Cup approaching, there are various considerations for the Eagles. Laden with talents all around, it is no surprise that most players in the Super Eagles have Nigerian descent.

We’d be considering 10 players who could feature for the Super Eagles and improve the team.

1. Karim Adeyemi

 Nigerian striker

Adeyemi moved to FC Red Bull Salzburg in 2018, signing till May 2021. Adeyemi made his 2. Liga debut on 1 September 2018 against Austria Lustenau. He played the full game. A highly-rated striker, he is tipped for big things and currently plays for the German U-17 team.

2. Ademola Lookman

The English born forward currently plays in Germany for RB Leipzig. His ability to play across the front three remains one of his biggest attributes and could see him be useful personnel for the super eagles.

3. Joshua Orobosa Zirkzee

Zirkzee is a highly rated forward for Bayern and Germany. His height is one of his best attributes, making him difficult to defend against. In 2019, Zirkzee scored a hat-trick in his debut for Bayern Munich II, and then, a day later, he scored the winning goal for the under-19 side as they defeated FC Nurnberg 2–1.

His goal scoring exploits has seen him become a highly rated academy player in Bayern Munich.

4. Dominic Lorfa

Lorfa currently plays for Sheffield Wednesday in the championship. A highly-rated defender who can play at right-back and center back, he could prove to be an important fixture for the Super Eagles.

With a lot of experience under his belt, Iorfa should not feel too out of place at the biggest stage.

5. Ebere Eze

There have been talks about Eze opting to play for Nigeria, and should that happen, it’ll be a very good development. Eze has shown a lot of quality, with his ability to play from either flank or through the middle as an attacking midfielder.

This season, he has scored 11 goals, in over 25 appearances for QPR. His performances have seen him linked to Premier League clubs ahead of next season.

6. Sheyi Ojo

Ojo currently plays for Rangers of Scotland, on loan from Liverpool. Although he has had injury worries over the years, one of his best abilities has been his pace and trickery on the ball. The winger has been able to garner experience from various loan spells.

Ojo has represented England at various levels in U-16, U-17, and U-20.

7. Ovie Ejaria

Ejaria currently plays for Reading FC in the championship, on loan from Liverpool. The dynamic midfielder has the ability to play across multiple midfield positions.

 Ovie Ejaria

He once trained with the Nigeria U-17 team in 2013 and stated that his international allegiance lay with the country in 2014. However, he went on to play for England later on but is yet to debut for the national team.

8. Kevin Akpoguma

Akpoguma currently plays for Hannover 96, on loan from Hoffenheim. A highly rated center-back, Akpoguma captained the German u-20 team at the 2015 world cup, that defeated Nigeria, 1-0.

A well-built defender, with a good reading of the game, his presence at the back could prove viral for the Super Eagles.

9. Bukayo Saka

Saka has become a well-known star this season, due to his amazing performances for Arsenal. Although a natural winger, he has filled in at left-back seamlessly, due to injuries to Kolasinac and Tierney.

Bukayo Saka

While at left-back, he has been able to still create goals and score a few for himself. His pace and trickery, as well as his creativity, remain some of his best attributes.

10. Noah Sarenren Bazee

A right-back by trade, Noah currently plays for the German’s side, FC Augsburg. His inclusion into the Soar Eagles would be a welcome development as Nigeria currently doesn’t have a proper right-back who can hold the forte, complimenting Jamilu Collins at left-back.

All these players will greatly help improve the quality in the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Which of these players will you like to wear the Green and White at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar? leave your thoughts in the comments.
