Arsenal reach agreement to sign superstar striker

Arsenal said to have interest is Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez as Mikel Arteta and Edu keen on sign the player to cement their role line.

Amid Inter Milan’s financial issues, Football Insider report that Martinez is viewed as the most saleable asset at the club and a fee of between £70-80m could be enough to secure his signature.

It is added that Arsenal have an active interest in the player and are in contact with the player’s agents. It is also believed that Martinez would be very keen on a potential move to Arsenal or another English giant despite having more than three years left to run on his Nerazzurri contract.

Martinez had a poor World Cup despite going on to lift the trophy with Argentine but his club form has been solid.

The 25-year-old has scored 12 and assisted four in 22 Serie A ties for Inter Milan this season.

As for Arsenal, their two striking options at present are Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, neither of whom are truly prolific in front of goal.
