Graham Potter gives update on Thiago Silva injury

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has provided information on Thiago Silva’s injury following the Premier League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on February 26.

During his post-match press conference, Potter said:

“I’m not sure. I hope it’s not too serious, but I haven’t talked to a doctor enough to diagnose you.

Silva was replaced by French center-back Wesley Fofana after 19 minutes. Meanwhile, Potter has been heavily criticized for Chelsea’s poor performance this season. The Blues suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League, losing 0-2 to Tottenham Hotspur. The loss gave Potter’s army only two wins in the last 15 matches. Regarding the loss, the British said:

“We are disappointed, of course. disappointed with the results. I think we started the game well and played well for the first 20 to 25 minutes. We had good catches, good control, and pushed them back a little bit. “We had scoring opportunities and had good energy in the team.”

He added:

“I think the first half was relatively even.” They had a period, but nothing in the game. The second half starts off as bad as possible, and once you have a goal… in a tight game, the first goal is usually very important. We tried and tried in the second half, but didn’t do enough to score. The second goal was a killer from a set piece in a game that didn’t have too many chances.

Chelsea will face Leeds United in the Premier League at home on March 4. They will then host Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League.
