Blues midfielder, Enzo Fernandez is unhappy in Chelsea amid contract termination

Enzo Fernandez was left fuming with Chelsea teammate Conor Gallagher as Manchester United doubled their lead at Old Trafford last night.

The Blues were soundly beaten 4-1 last night as their opponents clinched the final Champions League spot for next season.

The scoreline perhaps doesn’t tell the story of the first half, where Chelsea had three glorious chances to level the game after Casemiro’s opening goal.

Mykhailo Mudryk, Kai Havertz and Gallagher himself missed fantastic opportunities, as supporters were given more of the same when it came to a lack of goalscoring this season.

However, it was not this that left his teammate, Fernandez, fuming in the opening 45.

After the Argentine made a tackle on the edge of the box, the England international struggled to react as the ball fell to Casemiro.

He ended up walking back as the Brazilian drove forwards to find Jadon Sancho, which led to United doubling their lead.

Gallagher is surely set to be on the move at the end of the season, with Mauricio Pochettino set to take over ahead of the next campaign.

The 23-year-old was the subject of a deadline day bid from Everton back in Janaury, with the relegation-threatened Toffees offering more than £40m for his services.

On the other hand, Fernandez has been the shining light which is admittedly a long way down the tunnel still. He has started every game since he came to the club for a record fee at the end of the last transfer window.

Pochettino will no doubt be impressed by his fellow countryman in recent weeks, and his seemingly never-ending contract with the club will mean he will be a star for a number of years at Stamford Bridge.
