Chelsea to break bank and sign Champions League finalist

Inter Milan are on their way to the Champions League final to face the formidable Manchester City, and some top European clubs are looking to take some of their players.

The Italian side are currently one of the form teams in Europe and have won eight straight games in all competitions. The man Chelsea are looking to sign has been a huge part of that success.

Inter Milan have set an asking price however that may be too high for Chelsea to match.

As reported by Rudi Galetti, Chelsea view the current asking price of Andre Onana from Inter Milan as too high.

Chelsea want to sign a goalkeeper this summer with Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga both set to leave, and Onana is top of the list of potential signings at the club.

A modern goalkeeper is the type of signing Chelsea want and Onana has been likened to Ederson for his distribution abilities in recent weeks by Steven Gerrard. The exact type of player Chelsea need.

Inter are looking for around £45million and it’s a fee they feel justified in asking for due to the fact Onana is now a Champions League finalist.

Chelsea will try and get the fee lower but if they can’t they could move on to different targets in the goalkeeper spot. It’s a position that will definitely see signings brought in this summer.

Emiliano Martinez and Jordan Pickford are two alternatives Chelsea could look at.
