Eden Hazard finally reveals his future plans ahead of summer transfer

Eden Hazard has said that he will remain at Real Madrid for the remainder of his contract and will not be leaving the team this summer.

When the Belgian joined Los Blancos for £130 million in 2019, he became the club’s most expensive signing ever. He signed a five-year contract for £400,000 per week.

Hazard hasn’t been able to match the brilliant performances that made him so admired at Stamford Bridge before leaving, however, since moving to the Spanish powerhouses.

‘It’s been a difficult year, but with a very big team,’ Hazard told Cadena SER.

‘I have a good relationship with the club and with the players too. I want to play, but I know it’s very difficult. I have to work and hope I can play more.’

The 31-year-old said after the game that he wants to stay at the club until the end of his contract even though he was an inactive substitute as Los Blancos won their first Copa del Rey in almost ten years.

Since moving to the Bernabeu, Hazard has scored only four league goals in as many seasons, and since Carlo Ancelotti rejoined to the team in 2021, he has seen little playing time.

The former Chelsea star has participated in 331 minutes for his team this year across all competitions.
