Chelsea set to complete signing of £65m transfer deal

Chelsea are set to open talks with Porto to discuss a £65million move for goalkeeper Diogo Costa, reports in Portugal say.

Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly happy to keep Kepa Arrizabalaga at the club but may need another shot-stopper after selling Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli. Portuguese outlet Jornal de Noticias, via Sport Witness, claim the Blues are ‘better placed’ than Manchester United in the race to sign Portugal international Costa. Their report adds that the Blues ‘should start contacts’ in the first days of July, with Costa known to have a release clause of £64.5m (€75m).
