Chelsea set to complete signing of Romeo Lavia

Man Utd expect to agree €70m deal for Hojlund

Rasmus Hojlund has emerged as one of the most sought-after strikers during the current transfer window, but Manchester United are reported to be hopeful of beating off competition for the Atalanta star. The 20-year-old Dane, who has managed six goals in six Euro qualifiers games, has been on United’s radar all summer. The Red Devils have already reached an agreement on personal terms with Hojlund and are actively negotiating with the Serie A outfit to lower their asking price – currently reported to be set at 80 million euros (£68.5m). As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the upcoming weekend is going to be decisive, as United expect to strike a discount deal for 70 million (£60m) plus bonuses. All parties hope to close the deal in the coming days.

Chelsea ready to turn to Lavia

Chelsea are ready to turn to Romeo Lavia after seeing a third bid for Moises Caicedo rejected. Brighton rejected a £75m plus £5m bid for the midfielder on Thursday as they hold out for closer to £100m for the young star. The Blues are frustrated and reportedly unwilling to increase their offer further, and know Lavia is available for around £50m. The Athletic report he is their next target. Liverpool have seen a bid worth around £40m for the Southampton youngster rejected as they look to replace Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
