Hakim Ziyech has taken to social media after his proposed transfer away from Chelsea fell through at the final hurdle.
He joked on Instagram about the supposed injury reason that saw his medical fail when looking to move to Saudi Arabia.
Ziyech was one of the Chelsea outcasts who were offered a lucrative opportunity to play out in Saudi Arabia for next season.
There were already plans in place for the Morocco international to be the main creator for Cristiano Ronaldo next season, an opportunity which was surely one he will have been excited for.
The deal looked to be on the cards, with Chelsea looking like they were finally going to receive a transfer fee for a player they have been looking to get off the books for a long time now.
However, reports late last week suggested things were off for now, after his prospective club had picked up an issue during his medical tests.
Ziyech gives Instagram response
Ziyech is seemingly left in the dark as to what this was, putting an Instagram story up mocking the fact that a knee issue was to blame.
“Knee problems, right?”. 😂

There are still claims that a move to Saudi Arabia may be still on the cards, however up to now it has come with a much lower salary offer.
With all due respect to the quality of the Saudi Pro League, it is undoubted that the majority of big stars who have been moving out there have had their financial interests in mind.
Even former Blue Kalidou Koulibaly himself admitted that he couldn’t resist the money being offered to him, and for players on the wrong side of 30 the deal looks a no-brainer.
With the relationship near enough over between Ziyech and the Blues, finding a solution that sees him leave the club seems the best option for all involved.
