Moises Caicedo sends message to Brighton, I want to join Chelsea this summer

Moises Caicedo has now sent a “clear message” to Brighton as he demands that an agreement is reached with Chelsea.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano.

So, what is the latest on Chelsea and Moises Caicedo? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?
Well, Roberto De Zerbi left the Ecuador international out of his squad for today’s pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano.

Alex Crook of talkSPORT claimed this was down to a hamstring injury.

Now – however – Romano has explained the real reason behind Caicedo’s absence at the Amex Stadium earlier today.

The hugely reliable Italian journalist believes Brighton’s No.25 has made it explicitly clear that he wants to leave for Stamford Bridge this summer, and talks between all parties are ongoing.

Romano adds that Brighton are refusing to budge on their stance despite today’s shock development.

The Seagulls want £100m to sell Caicedo this summer – nothing less will be taken seriously.

Chelsea have already struck an agreement with the South American on his personal terms, so a fee with Brighton remains the only hurdle – well, that and the consequential medical examinations.

Time for Brighton to entertain Caicedo to Chelsea
For most of the summer, it has felt like Brighton completely forgot about Caicedo’s antics in January, where he went public with his desire to leave on Instagram.

The Seagulls appear to have swept that situation under the carpet, pretending as if the Ecuadorian is happy while using him in Summer Series games out in the United States, where Chelsea were also on tour this summer.

However, today’s update proves Caicedo is far from satisfied with Brighton’s stubbornness, and is now taking matters into his own hands as he attempts to push through a move to Chelsea.

It is always unwise to keep an unhappy player around, so we feel it is time for Brighton to soften their approach, and begin to entertain Chelsea’s interest in the midfield maestro.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as it remains to be seen if Caicedo’s latest move will have the desired effect.
