According to the latest update from Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino that Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia return date and their debut for Chelsea has been confirmed.
Nkunku who got injured in the pre-season game against Dortmund yet to feature in Chelsea game since then as well as Lavia who joined the club in the summer transfer yet to make debut for the blues.
Pochettino: “Nkunku told me: 'coach, I want to be ready after international break against Newcastle”.
“It's close. He's doing really, really well. We are so happy with Christopher in his recovery, very professional”.
Lavia will not be available against City but hopefully next premier league he will make debut for Chelsea.
Pochettino: “Roméo Lavia, close to returning as he was training today”.
“Hopefully next week he will be involved with the team, then assess when he can help the team”.
