What Phil Foden said about Chelsea star after leaving City

Phil Foden had wonderful words to share about his former Manchester City teammate, Cole Palmer after England’s 2-0 win against Malta on Friday.

What Phil Foden said about Chelsea star after leaving City

Palmer made his debut for the Three Lions in the game, coming in as a substitute for Gareth Southgate’s side. It was a well-deserved reward for a player who has had a tremendous season for Chelsea after sealing a £42.3m move from Man City during the summer transfer window.

Speaking to beIN Sport about Palmer after the game on Friday, Foden, who scored a deflected effort in the win said: “He’s so relaxed on the pitch. He looks like he’s been there for years. He’s such a young lad, with tremendous quality.

“He’s someone I know really well. I tried to help him as much as I could at City when he was coming up. He’s at Chelsea now doing really well. I’m delighted for him today to get his debut.”

Foden is very familiar with Palmer after spending many years with him at the City academy, and he sure seems glad to see the attacker doing well in his career.
