Chelsea lineup vs Brighton as Nkunku and Lavia positive to make debut

Mauricio Pochettino has often been looking to see which first team players are actually fit as he looks to pick his Chelsea team every week.

However, it seems as if this week he will be making his selections based on who is not suspended for the Premier League game against Brighton.

Defence in particular is one position where he will have to get creative, and perhaps start a backline that hasn’t yet featured together for the club.

Here is the Chelsea Chronicle’s predicted XI for the clash at Stamford Bridge.

Robert Sanchez will continue his record of starting every single game for the club since he joined the club.

Reece James’ suspension will see Axel Disasi feature out of position on the right of a back four.

Another ever-present starter, Thiago Silva, will continue his run in the team with another start on Sunday.

Benoit Badiashile will look to continue to build up his match sharpness with his second appearance in a row.

The backline will be completed by the return of Levi Colwill, with Marc Cucurella also suspended for the battle against his former side.

After being deemed not fit to start against Newcastle, Moises Caicedo will return to face the side who helped him make his name.

He will partner Enzo Fernandez, with the duo getting better every time they feature for Chelsea.

Just ahead of them, Conor Gallagher will take the captain’s armband again in the absence of James and Ben Chilwell.

Cole Palmer will look to get back to influencing things for the Blues when they push to get another win under their belts.

The opposite flank will be taken by Raheem Sterling, who has been nominated for both the goal and player of the month award’s for November.

Up front, it will be Armando Broja given the nod ahead of Nicolas Jackson.
