Chelsea reportedly interested in a new centre-back as Thiago Silva's successor

According to Christian Falk, Chelsea are reportedly interested in Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen. The club wants to sign him as Thiago Silva's successor.

Apparently, the Brazilian mastero is most likely to leave the West London club next season. As a result, the Blues are already looking for his replacement.

Jonathan Tah is 27-year-old, and he has been making headlines in all competitions this season for Bayer Leverkusen. He has the ability to succeed in the Premier League.

Of course, Chelsea have the likes of Colwill, Badiashile, and Disasi as their centre-backs. However, none of them can comfortably use both legs like Thiago Silva.

Only Wesley Fofana has the ability to replace the Brazilian mastero. Unfortunately, the Frenchman is injury-prone, which means the Blues cannot rely on him.

Jonathan Tah plays better in a 3-at-the-back formation. As a result, his defensive prowess is enough to boost the team's defense line.

Thiago Silva made it known that he's enjoying life in London with his family. Nevertheless, he cannot stay at Chelsea forever; he's expected to leave someday.

Therefore, the West London club are hell-bent on signing his replacement since Trevoh Chalobah may leave in the January transfer window.

Simply put, Chelsea are reportedly interested in Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen, as they want him as Thiago Silva's successor.
