Sporting CP have no intention to let the summer signing leave unless suitors are willing to pay a substantial amount, which the Blues are open towards.

Chelsea loan move blocked

Chelsea could be prevented from sending Ian Maatsen out on loan to Borussia Dortmund next month, according to The Mirror. Per FIFA rules, only seven players can be loaned overseas and Chelsea have already filled their quota for this season. It means that any move for Maatsen is likely to be a permanent one, unless the Blues decide to loan him to another Premier League club.

Villarreal weigh up Arsenal deal

Villarreal are interested in a January move for Arsenal defender Cedric Soares, according to ESPN. The 32-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium and spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham. Villarreal are said to have been tracking Cedric since the summer and are expected to open talks with the Gunners next month.
