Chelsea staffs are seriously relieved they didn't sell 23-year-old star last summer transfer

Reports have claimed that there are members of staff at Chelsea who are seriously relieved the club didn’t sell one player over the summer.

According to The Telegraph, they was a sense of relief when they decided not to sell Conor Gallagher, despite reports that they were more than willing to part ways with the midfielder during the last transfer window.

Gallagher has emerged as a key player under Mauricio Pochettino. It has been clear to see that he is a favourite for the manager this season.

This has been shown by the fact that he has played in every Premier League game so far this season when he has been available, with the only exception being the one after he was sent off against Brighton.

The admiration from the boss has seemingly been mirrored by other figures at the club, with the feeling being described as relief when he was still here as the season got underway.

Even on deadline day, he was reportedly the subject of interest and on the chopping block if the right offer came in.

However, this has not put an end to rumours that he will be on the move when the window opens again in January.

It has been frequently claimed that they are prepared to listen to offers, and if the right bid comes in they will part ways with a player who has been donning the captain’s armband for more than half of the season.

There will no doubt be plenty of Premier League sides who have seen exactly what Gallagher can bring to the table, and will be keeping tabs on the price Chelsea are willing to accept for him.
