Chelsea on the verge to complete double signing this January as star player dropped from target list

Welcome to Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip ahead of January transfer window as double signing coming soon

Viktor Gyokeres has dismissed talk of a January transfer away from Sporting, amid rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea.

Nicolas Jackson seems to have the trust of his manager Mauricio Pochettino, but it does not look like that will stop CHELSEA from entering the market for a new No.9.

He has been impressive at time during his stint at Stamford Bridge, but he does not look like a forward that has the ability to push on and score 20-30 or even 40 goals a season for the Blues.

And that has led to constant speculation in the media over the past few months that Chelsea will once again delve into that transfer kitty and add another striker to that attack that has the ability to score goals and Gyokeres is reportedly on the list.

The 25-year-old striker joined the Portuguese side in the summer from Coventry for a club-record fee in the region of £20million, and it’s suggested that he now has an £87m release clause in his contract

Gyokeres would prove expensive if he were to leave Sporting mid-season, but the Swedish forward has insisted he is not thinking about leaving the club just six months after arriving.

“I’m very happy here and I don’t care about any interested parties at the moment. I’m enjoying every day here and not thinking about what’s going on around me. Yes, there’s talk of big clubs, but for now it’s just news. That’s all.”

Pressed directly on whether he was able to assure Sporting fans that he will not leave in January, Gyokeres added: “Yes. This is where I want to stay.”

Gyokeres is enjoying some of the best football of his life and is scoring goals on a regular basis – But the Premier League is not the Portuguese League and he would really struggle to play for such a big club in the Premier League

OSIMHEN HINT HAS BEEN DROPPED –

Chelsea fans have been sent into meltdown after Napoli star Victor Osmihen hinted at a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

Despite having spent a fortune on new players over the course of the last few transfer windows, CHELSEA find themselves sitting 10th in the Premier League, 12 points behind fourth placed Manchester City who have a game in hand on Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Osimhen
Premier League bound?

Nicolas Jackson seems to have the trust of his manager Mauricio Pochettino, but it does not look like that will stop Chelsea from entering the market for a new No.9.

He has been impressive at time during his stint at Stamford Bridge, but he does not look like a forward that has the ability to push on and score 20-30 or even 40 goals a season for the Blues.

And that has led to constant speculation in the media over the past few months that Chelsea are keen on signing the pacy forward, who recently signed a new deal through till the summer 2026, and would likely cost around £100m.

Now he has reportedly given the Blues fans a massive boost as the Nigerian forward, who fired Napoli to the Serie A title last term, scoring 26 goals in 32 games, celebrated his 25th birthday, with fans of Osimhen sending positive messages on social media.

One fan wrote: “Happy birthday Victor Osimhen, pls come and rescue Chelsea soon” attaching a photo of Osimhen as a child wearing a Chelsea shirt from the 2011/2012 season.

And Blues fans will have been thrilled to see the 25-year-old reply to the tweet with two heart emojis, and a praying hands emoji too, hinting he would be open to a move away from Naples in favour of the Premier League.

Could Chelsea sign Osimhen in January?

He possesses the kind of firepower that could take CHELSEA back into the top four and possibly challenge for trophies in the next couple of seasons, he is a player that is really an elite forward.

But they cant offer him Champions League football right now, they cant offer him the chance to challenge for the big titles, it would be a massive decision to come to Stamford Bridge at this stage of the Blues development.

The only thing that will get a deal done is money – and Chelsea have loads of that so a deal could get done.

GALLAGHER WANTS DEAL

Conor Gallagher wants to sign a new deal at Chelsea as uncertainty over his future continues, it has been claimed

Gallegher had been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it was believed that CHELSEA would have allowed him to depart the club if the right offer was made.

That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and even made an offer of £40 million, which was rejected by the Blues as they were seeking closer to £50 million for Gallagher.

He has featured in the opening months of the season for Mauricio Pochettino and is beginning to look like the player that many tipped to become a world class act just a few seasons ago.

WHAT IS THE LATEST

The Football Insider has claimed that Gallagher is determined to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge and continue fighting for his place in the side.

West Ham and Tottenham are both reportedly keeping a close eye on the man, as they held an interest in signing the England international but a move failed to materialise before the 1 September deadline.

There is no doubt that Gallagher is a talented midfielder that could shine under Pochettino – so if the boss wants him at CHELSEA and doesnt want to use the money to sign new players, then he should get that new contract, especially as there is a place for him in the side.

There has been so much speculation about his future for seasons now, so this new deal will kind of end the immediate speculation surrounding his future and keep him settled.

However – he needs to keep on performing for Chelsea and putting in the good performances because the Blues are constantly signing new players, so he will be tested on a regular basis.
