Chelsea set to make move to sign new 20-year-old striker

Chelsea will aim towards improving their attacking options by signing a new striker for manager Mauricio Pochettino before the year runs out.

The West London club have endured a rather disappointing start to the 2023/2024 season and are currently occupying the 8th position on the Premier League table so far.

As a result of their poor form in front of goal, Chelsea football club remain keen on adding more firepower to their attacking options and are currently on the lookout for reinforcements.

Chelsea football club have been heavily linked with a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, but with Napoli demanding up to £110million for him, Chelsea football club are now eyeing a move for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as an ideal alternative.

The 20-year-old Slovenia International, who signed up for RB Leipzig after departing RB Salzburg back in 2023 has been quite important since he made the move last year.

The young centre-forward has been readily available for RB Leipzig so far this ongoing 2023/2024 season, scoring seven goals in the 24 matches he has played in all competitions.

His excellent performances in front of goal is believed to have caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from The Sun, the Blues have identified Benjamin Sesko as a cheaper alternative to Victor Osimhen.

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club are aware that Napoli are holding out for £110million transfer fee for Victor Osimhen and will now make a move to sign young RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants a new striker and he could be forced to settle for a move to sign young Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

And with Benjamin Sesko currently valued at £43million transfer fee, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will be able to reach a quick agreement with RB Leipzig and secure the signing of the young striker later this year.
