Chelsea have submitted a €30m bid for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise (21), according to a report this Saturday from RMC Sport.

Chelsea submit €30m bid for Michael Olise

Olise is currently on a path to recovery after sustaining a serious hamstring injury with France’s U21 squad during the European Championships. Despite this setback, Olise remains one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League. The 21-year-old has logged six goals and 19 assists in 71 games with the Eagles.

According to RMC Sport, Olise and Chelsea have struck an agreement in principle. The Blues have reportedly submitted a verbal €30m to their Crystal Palace counterparts. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are waiting for guarantees relating to Olise’s recent injury. The U21 France international is tied to the Eagles until 2026. RMC Sport understands that Olise’s deal with Palace includes a release clause that falls below the €40m mark.

The French publication adds that Manchester City are also interested in signing the former Reading player. City are in the market for a winger following the departure of Riyad Mahrez to PIF-funded Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.
