Chelsea to pay £87m for Silva, Man United wants Timo Werner

 Chelsea have reportedly shown interest in signing young Benfica defender Antonio Silva in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. The 20-year-old player is also wanted by Manchester United and Liverpool but the Blues have already held talks with the Portuguese giants who have been asked to pay £87 million in full which is the player's release clause.

 
 

Man Utd establish contact for Timo Werner

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with RB Leipzig over a deal to sign Germany striker Timo Werner in the ongoing January transfer window. According to The Athletic, Manchester United have contacted RB Leipzig about the potential cost of signing Werner in the winter transfer market as Erik ten Hag looks to solve his goal-scoring problems.


Jose eyes Dier reunion

Jose Mourinho is eyeing a reunion with Eric Dier, whom he has long been a fan of. The pair worked together at Tottenham and Calciomercato reports that the Roma boss could make a move as he faces a defensive conundrum with Evan Ndicka leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations. Mourinho also eyed Dier during his time as Man Utd boss.

Matos set for Huddersfield move

Chelsea youngster Alex Matos joined Huddersfield on loan for the rest of the season. According to the Evening Standard, Matos could make his debut when the Terriers take on Manchester City in the third round of the FA Cup. The 19-year-old has been a regular in Chelsea's matchday squads this season, though will now be given the chance to earn more game-time.
