Fulham boss Marco Silva expressed his frustration with VAR for not recommending a red card for Malo Gusto's challenge on Willian during Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Fulham.
Despite bouncing back from their midweek defeat to Middlesbrough, the match was marred by controversy as Gusto caught Willian on the ankle with a straight leg.
However, VAR official Michael Salisbury did not advise referee Anthony Taylor to review the incident on the pitchside monitor. Silva criticized the decision, stating that even fourth official Simon Hooper agreed that the challenge should have resulted in a red card.

He acknowledged a crucial save by the opposing goalkeeper. Silva also mentioned the penalty that gave the opposition the lead at halftime, emphasizing the need to address the red card incident involving Gusto, which he believed was clear.
He expressed frustration at the lack of consistency in refereeing decisions, particularly in the Premier League. Silva noted that VAR checked the incident but did not award a red card this time. In the second half, both teams had chances to score, with the game becoming more open and allowing the opposition to exploit space and pace.
