What Christopher Nkunku said about 4-1 defeat by Liverpool

Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku made his statement following their 4-1 embarrassing defeat to Liverpool at Anfield yesterday. Meanwhile, his statement shows Chelsea can bounce back against Wolves.

Chelsea started the game poorly yesterday as they allowed Liverpool to dominate the game. Liverpool created several chances and got the lead through Diogo Jota. Conor Bradley doubled the lead afterwards before Darwin Nunez missed a penalty to make the 3-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Liverpool created more chances and got the third goal through Szoboszlai. Chelsea came alive and Nkunku pulled one back from Chukwuemeka's assist. Liverpool extended the lead as Luis Diaz to make the final score 4-1.

However, Nkunku after the match made the following statement according to Blue_Footy via X: "To concede three goals and to come back is very difficult. I think we need to work more and come back stronger for our game on Sunday. I think we need to work on everything. We need to put more in every moment of the game. We need to push hard with our intensity. I think even in our character, we need to do more on the pitch to win the game. We know the stadium is difficult to play in, but we can do a lot more."
