‘Incredible’ £51m star thinking about move to England amid Chelsea interest

Chelsea could be a potential destination for one attacker in the summer transfer window.

Mauricio Pochettino currently has Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer for the No.10 position.

However, Gallagher is out of contract next year, while Palmer has mostly been utilised on right wing and up front at times.

With that in mind, then, Chelsea could make a move for a new attacking midfielder before the start of the 2024/25 season.

They have been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo.

£51m player now considering England move

Musiala is one of the top attackers in the Bundesliga. This season, the 21-year-old has come up with 16 goal contributions in 24 appearances.

Ultimately, then, it will not be easy to sign him this summer.

Chelsea could have to go after Olmo instead, something that they may very well consider.

Journalist Christian Falk recently claimed in his column for CaughtOffside that Olmo is thinking about a move to England and that Chelsea are just one side who are currently looking at him.

On the Spaniard, Falk said: “Olmo is currently looking at England. His release clause would not be a hurdle for the rich Premier League clubs. The hottest lead at the moment leads to Manchester City. Olmo is on the list at the Sheikh Club.”

He later went on to add: “But City has competition: Tottenham also has their eye on Olmo, as do Manchester United and Chelsea FC. However, both clubs would probably not be a good choice at the moment due to their sporting imbalance.”

According to the German journalist, Olmo also has a €60m (£51m) release clause that can be triggered this summer.

Which Premier League club is Dani Olmo most likely to join this summer?

If Olmo is to leave Leipzig at the end of the season, which now looks very possible, then Manchester City are likely to be the club who the 25-year-old joins.

Falk states that the Premier League champions are the team leading the race for Olmo at present, while Pep Guardiola also seems to be a big fan of his.

In the past, Guardiola has hailed the Spain international as an “incredible” player.

Chelsea face a real challenge, then, to land Olmo’s signature this summer.
