France would have not won the World Cup if Olivier Giroud was not in the team - Djibril Sidibe

France defender Djibril Sidibe hinted on their triumph at the 2018 World cup held in Russia that if Olivier Giroud had not been in the team, France would have won the World Cup.

The 27-year-old French professional footballer, Djibril Sidibé who plays as a full back for Premier League club Everton, on loan from Monaco of Ligue 1, has commended the 35-year-old Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud for his impact in the France national team.

Djibril Sidibe added that “I don’t think France would have won the World Cup if Olivier Giroud had not been in the team. In the support, he provided, in his chemistry with Mbappe and Griezmann, and above all, because Olivier has the experience; he has been in the team for a long time.”

The contract of the 35-year-old striker will expire on June 30 as all eyes on the Chelsea manager Frank Lampard if will give him contract extension or to place on sale during the transfer window.
