Liverpool To Sign Nigeria Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen

Liverpool has been linked with the Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen before the opening of the winter transfer window and the Nigerian striker is once again in The Reds focus.

In December 2019, The Daily Express covered a fantastic story and claimed that Jurgen Klopp is eager to sign the Nigerian international. The French club never wanted to let him go until the summer and that is why he was not sold in the January transfer.

Recently, Le10sports have exclusively revealed that Liverpool has been interested in the striker and they are now ready to bring him to the Anfield.

The renowned French news outlet has claimed that The Reds have opened the conversation with the representatives of the 21-year-old forward and they prepare grounds for making him an initial contract offer. As far as the fees are concerned, it is mentioned that the player could be sold if an offer of around 80 million euros (£69.5million) is received by the Ligue 1 side this coming summer.

In the current season, Osimhen started 33 games in all competitions and directly contributed to 24 goals for the French club. However, after yesterday’s heartbreaking news from The France PM’s, the current season is about to be canceled due to the world pandemic.

Liverpool will have to take the contract very seriously. Paris Saint-Germain was 12 points ahead in the title race with a game in hand before the league was suspended due to the pandemic.

PSG deserve to be crowned champions again but will the LFP decide to hand them the title or will they declare the season null and void? We’ll know eventually.

Coming back to Victor Osimhen, the fast-growing striker has had a very interesting career so far. He was named the African Youth Player of the Year a few years back mainly after he helped his country win the Under-17 World Cup. As far as his senior international career is concerned, in 5 starts so far, he has directly contributed in 6 goals for the Super Eagles.
