Chelsea Beat Manchester United, Liverpool To Sign Jadon Sancho From Borussia Dortmund

Chelsea Beats Manchester United, Liverpool To Sign Jadon Sancho From Borussia Dortmund. The 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho is being linked with a return to England this summer, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all linked

For many Chelsea fans, they would like to see nothing better than Jadon Sancho join this summer.

The 20-year-old has had a sensational 2019/20 Bundesliga campaign for Borussia Dortmund, netting 14 goals and adding another 15 assists.

The young winger made the switch from Manchester City to Germany in 2017 and since then has gone on to another level.

Sancho has become an England regular and is now tipped to return to the Premier League, with both Chelsea and Manchester United keen on him.

However, the last time Sancho played on English soil and at Stamford Bridge, things didn’t go well for him.

Over the past few years, Chelsea has dominated youth football and been one of the biggest academies in Europe.

Since 2010, the Blues have won seven FA Youth Cup titles and in 2017 they came up against Sancho and his Manchester City team in the final.

After a 1-1 first leg in Manchester, the return leg at Stamford Bridge was a completely different occasion.

The Blues, guided by now first-team assistant head coach Jody Morris, dominated the match and sealed a 5-1 victory.

In Chelsea’s team, there were four members of the Blues’s current first team, with Jamie Cumming in goal, Reece James at right-back, Callum Hudson-Odoi on the wing and Mason Mount as captain.

The Blues completely controlled the game, with goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Ike Ugbo, Hudson-Odoi, Dujon Sterling, and Cole Dasilva netting.

Sancho had a quiet night, in the end being taken off in the 77th minute for the little known Lorenzo Gonzalez.

However, it was the last time that Sancho’s talent would doubt, as that summer he made his switch to Dortmund.

It’s interesting to now compare how his career has taken off compared to those Chelsea players he faced up against that night.

There is no doubt that Mount, James, and Hudson-Odoi are carving a fine career for themselves in the Premier League, already.

Mount has been a regular for Lampard’s starting XI, while Hudson-Odoi is expected to be a big player for the club in years to come.

James was superb for Wigan Athletic last season, and his performances for the Blues this season have been very, very encouraging.

But will they all be teammates next season?

There is no doubt that Frank Lampard and Chelsea are keen on the young England international, and he would be a decent addition to the club.

However, Manchester United are also keen on the winger and are expected to go all out to sign him.

But on that night in April 2017, Chelsea proved that they were too good for Sancho, but they could definitely do with him now
