They young striker was loaned out to Bundesliga side Union Berlin at the start of the 2023/2024 season where he has played his part, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 17 matches.

Chelsea football club are closely monitoring his situation at Union Berlin and according to reports from popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his verified Twitter page, Chelsea football club are planning to recall David Datro Fofana from his loan spell at Union Berlin.

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club have had enough and are preparing to bring back David Datro Fofana from his loan spell at Union Berlin before the transfer window closes.

 

It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is currently in need of an out-an-out striker and he could be set to turn towards David Datro Fofana for the rest of the season.

But then, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will choose to keep David Datro Fofana at the club when he returns from his loan spell or they will choose to loan him elsewhere.
