Tottenham Starlet, Joshua Oluwayemi Keen To Represent Nigeria

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi has keen in and refused to rule out the possibility of representing the Super Eagles in future.

Born in London nineteen years ago, Oluwayemi comes from a family of goalkeepers as his father, Abiodun Ogunyemi, was a goalkeeper for Ogun State University and attended Federal Government College Odogbolu, while his sibling, Tobi is also a goalkeeper at Glasgow Celtic.

Joshua Oluwayemi has played non-binding games for England at U-15 and U-16 levels, meaning he can play for Nigeria’s youth teams straightaway without applying for a one-time change of association.

The promising goalkeeper hinted that informal talks have taken place regarding pledging his allegiance to Nigeria, following a chance meeting between Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu and his dad.

Joshua Oluwayemi has represented Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League, U-18 Premier League and U-18 Premier League Cup this season.

The 19-year-old Tottenham youth goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi has keen to represent Nigeria in future to joined the like of Alex Iwobi, Chukwueze, Osimhen.
