Real Madrid become first team to reaches 100 UCL knockout stages

Real Madrid become the first team in history to reached 100 knockout stages in the UEFA Champions League game after beating Atalanta 1-0 on Wednesday night.

The European football governing body popularly known as UEFA has reacted after Spanish La Liga Santander Champions Real Madrid become the first team in history to set new record in the UEFA Champions League, following their 1-0 victory over Atalanta football club of Italy on Wednesday night, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the competition.

Zinedine Zidane’s men who have been battling with a lot of injuries many weeks back were able to impress against the Italian serie A giants, as they won by a lone goal, thanks to an injury time goal from French star Ferland Mendy.

Real Madrid continue their impressive run in the UCL despite being struggling with injuries, as they won their last 5 matches in all competitions, and the victory over Atalanta has now given them an advantage ahead of the return leg in March.

With Real Madrid’s 1-0 victory it means Real Madrid have become the first team to reach 100 UEFA Champions League knockout matches.
