Thomas Tuchel speaks about Chelsea chances as he gives Thiago Silva's injury update

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has highlighted on his team chances as he give update on Thiago Silva injury on Thursday’s night against Tottenham.

Tuchel highlighted some more half-chances not taken in the second half and bigger chances on the counter-attack, but stressed he is happy his side conceded only one major chance and that was when Tottenham risked a lot near the end. Their striker Carlos Vinicius headed it wide.

On Chelsea’s trend for not killing opposition teams off, he added:

‘We need to create more clear chances, this is the objective and the job from me. One of the hardest things in football is to score and keep calm, but we have trust in our players and we will work to create more clear chances, and to be more effective, but in general everyone wants to score with every half-chance but it is not like this in the Premier League.’

Thiago Silva came off during the second half with a injury to his upper leg having stretched for a ball.

‘It will be very tight for Sunday’s game, only two days recovery,’ Tuchel said about the likelihood the player will be out. ‘It is too early to give a diagnosis because I saw him very briefly with a big strap around his muscle. We will have to wait until tomorrow so we can confirm it but I think for Sunday he is a big doubt.’

Thiago Silva picked up injury in the Premier League yesterday night at Tottenham as Tuchel recorded a 1-0 win against Mourinho.
