ARS vs CHE: Lampard's Formidable XI That Could see Chelsea end their winless streak against Arsenal

Ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League London derby with the Gunners at the Emirates, there is some positive news for Chelsea as Kai Havertz may make a return.

The German international was unable to participate in last week’s game against Thomas Franck’s Bees due to a knee injury, but Blues gaffer Frank Lampard is optimistic that he will be available for selection this week.

However, there are still concerns about the participation of Kalidou Koulibaly, who is struggling with a thigh injury. Meanwhile, Armando Broja, Mason Mount, Marc Cucurella, and Reece James are all unavailable due to knee and thigh injuries.

Marcus Bettinelli, the backup goalkeeper, is making his way back from an unspecified injury. However, Lampard still considers Kepa Arrizabalaga as the number one choice over Edouard Mendy for now.

During the game against Brentford, Cesar Azpilicueta had a disastrous performance resulting in an own goal before he was substituted at the interval.

To address the issue, Lampard may change the formation and introduce Trevoh Chalobah as the right-back. The remaining four defensive positions are expected to be occupied by Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, and Ben Chilwell. In midfield, it’s highly likely that N’Golo Kante and Enzo Fernandez will start.

The final spot in the midfield is up for grabs between Conor Gallagher and Mateo Kovacic, but the former may have an edge.

While Lampard could be enticed to make some offensive changes, such as reintroducing Joao Felix and Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling could be retained, Meanwhile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who hasn’t gotten enough first-team playing time, could begin on the bench.
