Chelsea fans were left stunned by the performance of Hakim Ziyech last night for Galatasaray.
Hakim Ziyech, who’s now 30, completed a move from Chelsea to Turkish giants Galatasaray in the summer. He joined them on a season-long loan, which includes an option to buy (BBC).
The right-winger enjoyed his best game of the season so far in Wednesday evening’s dramatic Champions League match.
Hakim Ziyech shines
Galatasaray and Manchester United were involved in a remarkable 3-3 draw in midweek in Istanbul, with both teams still fighting for qualification from Group A in the Champions League.
Ziyech scored two goals and made one assist during a remarkable individual display.
The left-footed playmaker netted two free-kick goals. Admittedly, Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana has come under-fire for his own poor performance, with many feeling he could’ve done much better with the goals he conceded.
On top of his attacking contributions, Ziyech worked tirelessly during a frantic European night. It’s certainly not the attribute you most associate with the Morocco international.

Chelsea fan reaction
A selection of Blues supporters on social media were all asking where last night’s version of Ziyech was when he was playing for Chelsea.
He scored just 14 goals and made 13 assists in 107 Blues appearances, which is very low for someone with his individual talent.
The Athletic claimed earlier in the year that Ziyech was one of the players that Todd Boehly most wanted to get rid of in the summer.
