Chelsea in to sign dream player in January transfer window

Chelsea are usually one of the busier clubs in the transfer window, so you can expect a lot of activity at Stamford Bridge in 2024.

Some of their targets may not be available in January, but there is always the chance that they could snap them up in the summer, especially with the amount of money Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital seem to have.

With that in mind, then, here are Chelsea‘s three dream signings for 2024.

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen is one of those players who the Blues may not be able to sign until the summer after he extended his contract at Napoli.

Whatever the case, considering Chelsea’s need for a striker and the quality of the Nigerian, he is the sort of name you would expect the Blues to have at the top of their list.

He fired Napoli to the Serie A title last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 league appearances. Where would Mauricio Pochettino‘s side be now with that kind of firepower in their team?

Osimhen continues to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and is undoubtedly the dream striker right now.

Alphonso Davies

Chelsea may find themselves needing to sign a new left-back soon and there is not a better candidate than Alphonso Davies.

Davies is out of contract in 2025, meaning that Bayern Munich may be forced to sell the 23-year-old soon to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

He has Ashley Cole’s seal of approval, with the Chelsea legend loving his directness and pace.

“He’s so direct, he’s quick, he can go inside or outside,” Cole was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror when discussing Davies.

Ben Chilwell keeps picking up injuries, while Pochettino is currently using a central defender, Levi Colwill, at left-back. That says it all.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

It is probably a bit too much to ask for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen. In what universe is Aurelio De Laurentiis going to sell his two star players in the same year? Probably not this one! But if you are a Chelsea fan you can at least dream.

Chelsea have Mykhailo Mudryk for the left flank and he has shown glimpses this season, but he is just not clinical enough in the final third.

The Blues invested a lot of money in the Ukrainian and he obviously has potential. It is probably worth persisting with him for a bit longer. But if you could swap Mudryk for Kvaratskhelia, you obviously would.

The 22-year-old has that cutting edge in attack, which Chelsea have really lacked at times in the current campaign. He came up with 22 goal contributions in 34 Serie A appearances last term, another reason why Napoli were able to win the Scudetto.
