Mauricio Pochettino was moaning about the injury situation in his press conference yesterday (fair enough, really), and in doing so he noted that “too many academy players will be on the bench” in tonight’s game.
As Nizaar Kinsella pointed out on Twitter after seeing a photo from training, it looks very much like Leo Castledine will be one of them. He’s just signed a new contract, has already featured on the bench in our EFL Cup game earlier this season, and trained with the first team this week.
