Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has now claimed that one Chelsea youngster could now be in line to make the squad for tonight’s big game.

He took to Twitter to state that Leo Castledine had been involved in first team training, off the back of Mauricio Pochettino hinting that a number of youth players may be needed to fill his bench.

It has been claimed recently that plenty at the club are massive fans of Castledine, with him coming through the ranks as an academy player.

Last week, it was reported that talks had begun over extending the 18-year-old’s contract, showing just how much faith they have in his future.

This comes despite Todd Boehly making it a clear objective to sign some of the best youngsters in the world before they are snapped up by other sides.

Kinsella has now claimed that it looks as if he could be involved in some capacity in the matchday squad that have travelled to Old Trafford today.

Castledine could be involved tonight

He said: “Leo Castledine looks like he’ll be one of the chosen, fresh after his new deal.”

Mauricio Pochettino is looking to lead the Blues to their first win away at Manchester United in more than a decade.

He will be without the ever-reliable Conor Gallagher, who up until now had started every single Premier League game this season.

His suspension will likely be a chance for Cole Palmer to seamlessly return to the starting side, with plenty of freedom to create.

Elsewhere it remains to be seen if Reece James is instantly recalled to the squad, with him now returning from the suspension served after his red card against Newcastle.
