Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United in race to sign €50m star

Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are changing their transfer plans because RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko has a special deal allowing him to move for just €50 million in the summer, as reported by Sky Germany.

Sesko joined Leipzig from Salzburg for €24 million last summer after a successful season with RB Salzburg in 2022-23, where he scored 18 goals and provided four assists in 41 games.

Despite being compared to Erling Haaland due to his 1.95-meter height and breakthrough at RB Salzburg, Sesko has faced limited playing time at Leipzig. He mostly comes off the bench and is behind Lois Openda and Yussuf Poulsen in the pecking order but has still scored seven goals in 23 appearances this season.

Chelsea has been searching for a striker for several transfer windows and has been linked with Victor Osimhen from Napoli and Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus.

Arsenal is currently struggling, with issues in finishing and link-up play. They are interested in Ivan Toney from Brentford and Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.

Manchester United, despite signing Rasmus Hojlund, hasn't seen the instant impact they expected. With Anthony Martial likely leaving, they urgently need additional depth in the forward positions.

All three clubs are considering a move for Sesko given his affordable release clause, and he could be a valuable addition to any of their squads.
