Chelsea beat Liverpool to sign premier league World-class midfielder

 Chelsea football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their current squad by signing some new players for manager Mauricio Pochettino.


The West London club were very much active during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of several first-team players including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Nicolas Jackson.

However, that has not quite worked out well for Chelsea football club so far this season as they are currently out of the top four in the Premier League after playing 20 league matches.

 

And now, Chelsea football club want more midfield reinforcements and have been linked with a move for experienced Newcastle United defensive midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

 

The 26-year-old Brazil International, who signed up for Newcastle United after departing Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon back in 2022 has proven to be one of the best defensive midfielders in the league.

The experienced midfielder was hugely influential for Newcastle United football club during the 2022/2023 season where he scored five goals and created five assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

Bruno Guimaraes has also been hugely involved for Newcastle United so far this ongoing 2023/2024 season, scoring one goal and providing four assists in the 30 matches he has played.

His excellent performances in that defensive midfield role is believed to have caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from Transfer News Live, the Blues are keen on signing him.

 

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club are really interested in Bruno Guimaraes and are making moves to bring the experienced defensive midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to add more quality to his options in midfield and he has identified Bruno Guimaraes as a needed addition to his squad.

But with Liverpool football club also eyeing Bruno Guimaraes, it remains to be seen where the experienced defensive midfielder will choose to continue his football career if he eventually gets to leave Newcastle United this year.
