Victor Osimhen has scored his first goal in the Africa cup of Nations after which he missed goal of the tournament contender against Equatorial Guinea.
The Score Nigeria reports that, Super Eagles is in group A alongside with host the nation (Ivory Coast), Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea.
Ivory Coast defeated Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in the AFCON opening match as Nigeria played 1-1 drew with Equatorial Guinea on Sunday afternoon.
Osimhen spurned the best chance of the second half, racing through onto Alex Iwobi's throughball only to drag his finish wide. The Napoli star will have to sharpen up if Nigeria are going to mount a serious challenge at these finals, not least given a meeting with the hosts is coming up in just four days' time.
Africa Best, Osimhen missed huge chance that will give Super Eagles of Nigeria a 2-1 win over their opponent but it wasted played it wide as he couldn't beat Jesus Owono of Equatorial Guinea side.
