Chelsea ready to finalize deal for world class goal machine

 Chelsea football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their goalscoring options by signing a new striker for manager Mauricio Pochettino.


The West London club were very much active during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of several players including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Nicolas Jackson.

However, Chelsea football club have struggled in front of goal so far this ongoing 2023/2024 season and have been heavily reliant on the services of Cole Palmer to the goals.

As a result of this, Chelsea football club want a new striker and have been linked with a move for highly-rated Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen at the end of the season.

 

The 25-year-old Nigeria International, who signed up for Napoli after departing Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2020 has been an important member of the first-team in recent seasons.

The experienced striker was hugely influential for Napoli during the 2022/2023 season where he scored a total of 31 goals and created five assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

Victor Osimhen has also enjoyed an interesting start to the 2023/2024 season for Napoli so far, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in the 18 matches he has played.

His excellent performances in front of goal for Napoli is believed to have caught the attention of Chelsea football club in recent months, but now, according to reports from Transfer News Live, the Blues are now making moves to sign him.

 

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club are really interested in Victor Osimhen and are now prepared to pay his release clause in order to lure him away from Napoli.

It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to solve his goalscoring issues once and for all and he has identified Victor Osimhen as a needed addition to his squad.

That said, Chelsea football club will now aim to act quickly in order to sign the highly-rated Victor Osimhen from Napoli by paying his release clause once the 2023/2024 season is over.
