Premier League told they can't stop Chelsea target from leaving

Football journalist, Luke Edwards has predicted that Michael Olise will most likely be on the move away from Crystal Palace by the time the summer transfer window opens, and there’s nothing Roy Hodgson’s side can do to stop that from happening.

Olise has impressed for Palace in the past few seasons, and has been their best player since the departure of Wilfried Zaha in the summer.

Chelsea made an attempt to sign the 22-year-old a few months ago, but had to cool their interest in him after Palace threatened legal action because of the manner of approach employed by the Blues.

It has been reported that Olise could still be of interest to the Blues, who will likely try to sign him again in the summer, and Edwards has now stated that the player’s departure in a few months’ time is almost inevitable.

He told the ‘Transfer Gossip Daily’ podcast: “I expect that fight to come in the summer, but my advice to Crystal Palace fans unfortunately would be to enjoy him while you can.

“Because if he doesn’t go this month, and I don’t think he’ll go this month, I think Palace can fight off any suitors this month, but when that release clause becomes active there’s very little they can do.

“And then it’s just going to be a case of a very talented young footballer deciding where he wants to go, could have be Manchester City, could it be Chelsea, could it be Arsenal, could it be Manchester United, I don’t know.”
