Fans have reacted as Chelsea loanee, Ian Maatsen has been named as winner of the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for January. An award he won over Xavier SÃmons.
Ian Maatsen joined Borussia Dortmund from Chelsea last month on loan for the rest of the season and he has been impressive ever since for the German giant. He has finished all the games he's played so far with higher ratings.
Maatsen joined Dortmund to have more playing time as he was lacking it under Mauricio Pochettino as the likes of Levi Colwill, Ben Chilwell, and Marc Cucurella are all ahead of him in the Chelsea squad.
However, Maatsen has been named as winner of the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for January. The award will encourage him to do more.
