BRE 2-2 CHE: Chelsea star wins man of the match following his brilliant performance

Brentford's three-match winless run ended with an entertaining 2-2 draw against Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium.


The Blues had the better chances in the first half, with Jackson having an effort cleared off the line before getting on the end of Gusto's cross to plant his downward header into the bottom-left corner.


The Bees improved after the break and came from behind to take the lead. Roerslev levelled from close range with his first goal since January 2022 before Wissa put Thomas Frank's men ahead with an overhead kick.


The hosts looked destined for just their third win in 13 matches, but Disasi rescued a point late on, powering a cross from Palmer into the net at the back post.


Brentford are six points ahead of the relegation zone and will be looking to cause an upset when they head to Arsenal in the Premier League. As for Chelsea, they stay in 11th position. The Blues' next match is against Newcastle, who will be bouncing after their 3-0 win over Wolves.

After the completion of the match, England & Chelsea attacker, Cole Palmer was named the man of the match after his fantastic performance against Brentford.

The Ex-Man City midfielder featured for 90 minutes, recorded 94% accurate passes, created 2 chances and produced one assist.
