What Todd Boehly can do to save Chelsea from horrible situation

It’s been another nightmarish season so far for Chelsea with the club languishing in 11th position. However, The Blues can still get something out of their season if the owners take these 3 steps.

1 - Sack Mauricio Pochettino

Why?

In the process of writing this article, I analyzed the problems that Chelsea have had in their games this season, and although there have been significant injury problems, Many of Mauricio Pochettino’s faults stand out.

The former PSG manager has not managed to create a recognizable style of play, or pattern.

He has often relied on counter attacks in really important matches, and that is not the hallmark of a top manager.

2- Employ A New Permanent Manager This Season

I know it sounds weird to say Chelsea should appoint a new permanent manager now, and not an interim manager (if they sack Pochettino).

Appointing a new permanent coach can create a new energy within the squad, as players will be playing not to get dropped by the new manager

This will positively affect the team’s performance on the pitch, and possibly results.

Another reason why Chelsea should appoint a new permanent manager now is so that the new coach can get a feel of the squad.

He can understand how players perform in real matches, before the end of the season.

Doing this will help the manager make better choices in the summer, as Chelsea will look to be active again.

3- Give the new manager more reign over the squad

There have been multiple reports that have suggested that managers now have less power over the squad at Chelsea.

The owners can fix this by reducing the influence of directors over the team. This will greatly help Chelsea get better and salvage something this season
